Oh my, what a week it’s been! I’ve achieved something that at times I thought would never happen. It’s reminded me of the power of hope and how it’s such an important part of my life.
When my chronic illness had crippled me and I was lying in bed completely exhausted I’d still dream.
I’d dream of all the things I’d love to do and what I could fill my life with if I had more energy.
For so long I’ve dreamt about sharing my love of yarn and crochet by selling my favourite products online and now it’s actually happening. It’s a small step, a hopeful step and it’s filled my heart with optimism and happiness.
This week I’ve added another 6 products into my online boutique. This is a first and, to be honest, I’m a little bit proud of myself.
Achieving this has reminded me that along with gratitude, hope is a powerful thing. A desire for a different life plants the seed for change.
Regardless of whether you’ve been knocked down by a horrible illness, a busy life that’s spinning out of control or you’ve just had a rough trot, there’s always hope.
You can always dream of a different life.
It won’t happen over night but if you keep dreaming and making tiny changes when you can then your change will start.
I’m still a long way from getting back to a “normal” free-from-illness-life, but I’ve got hope. And that’s all that matters.
