It’s the morning of the 26th January here in Australia which means 2 things – it’s Australia Day and it’s a public holiday, so, Happy Australia Day!
On this day every year I like to take a moment and reflect on what it means to be Australian.
I feel blessed to live in this glorious country full of diversity.
I love it’s varied landscapes and it’s abundance of agriculture and produce.
I feel so blessed to have so much freedom and opportunity, and be surrounded by so much innovation.
I also love that I’m able to create luscious blankets from soft merino wool that’s grown and processed here in Australian.
It’s wool that hasn’t travelled many miles over the ocean before coming back as yarn; it all happened here and you can feel it. It’s yarn with soul.
I’m thankful for every person that has been involved in making this happen – the farmer, the shearer, the truck driver, the scourer, the spinner and the dyer.
I’m grateful that I’m able to design and create beautiful chunky blankets to wrap you in love. That I’m able to live a life that fills me with joy.
And most of all, I’m thankful for you. For reading my words, loving my designs and buying my creations. For helping me to live my creative and happy life.
