Chunky Blanket Yarn Bundle – 6 x 300g skeins of Homelea Bliss
or 4 payments of $98.75 with Afterpay
This bundle of Homelea Bliss yarn is the best way to get started with your chunky blanket.
There’s something wonderful about making chunky blankets – watching the textural stitches come to life, as the soft merino wool blanket grows on your lap. It’s snuggly, and lovely, and relaxing, all at once.
The twist in Homelea Bliss means that your merino wool blanket will be an heirloom that you will use for many, many years. It will keep its good looks for a long time, it won’t cover your home in fluff and will only pill slightly after repeated use. This soft wool is fully grown and processed in Australia – you’re supporting Australian farmers and makers with every stitch. It feels good to shop consciously for chunky yarn.
Chunky blankets made with Homelea Bliss are surprisingly easy to care for
I’ve tried destroying Homelea Bliss in my washing machine, and it’s just not possible! This special Australian merino wool yarn is uniquely made so that it’ll look good for a long time. Find out how to care for your chunky blanket here.
What’s included – 6 x 300g skeins of Homelea Bliss yarn + free shipping.
Blanket size – this yarn bundle will make at least a 1m x 1m crocheted blanket (the perfect size for snuggling on the lounge), or larger if it’s knitted.
Colours (depending on availability) – Donkey (greyish brown), Grey, Mushroom (purple), Natural (undyed), Navy Blue, Oatmeal (blush), Olive (dark green), Steele Blue, Rhubarb, Cumin.
Crochet hook or knitting needle size – Homelea Bliss is ideally suited for using crochet hooks and knitting needles that are larger than the standard size. 15mm needles and hooks create a close fabric, whereas 25mm needles and hooks create a looser, more fluid fabric.
Technical and care info – there’s 60m (66yds) of yarn in each 300g skein of Homelea Bliss, and it’s best to give it the wool-washing-combo of cold, gentle hand wash and lie flat to dry.
Good to know – you may find some vegetable matter in Homelea Bliss. I love how this links the making process back to the growth of the fibre.
What colour will you choose for your chunky blanket?
With love, Lynda.
