One of the things I love about Homelea Lass is hearing about what you’ve made, and seeing your photos. It makes my day!
Dee, from Brisbanista, has reviewed the Chunky Starter Kit and she’s made a gorgeously chunky Grounded Cowl.
Dee said:
“When I received the kit, beautifully packaged by Lynda, I opened it and was amazed by the olive Homelea Bliss yarn. It was much thicker than any wool I have ever used, so, as promised, wonderfully chunky, and such a glorious colour. Although the 25mm bamboo crochet hook had a lovely light feel to it, I found it rather daunting, as the largest hook I’ve used to date is a 7mm.
The bamboo crochet hooks have been selected because they feel so marvellous to use. The bamboo material means the hook is light and the double indents on the hook makes the hook fit snugly in the hand.
I decided to make the Grounded Cowl as it looked just the thing for my winter wardrobe.”
The Grounded Cowl is a staple in my winter wardrobe too!

Hi! I’m Lynda (she/her) and I’m the lady behind Homelea Lass.
I’m here to help you improve your crochet skills and to help you find peace and happiness in your creative time.
In 2012 I was knocked down by debilitating chronic fatigue that put an end to my blossoming career as a Civil Engineer and Project Manager.
Early on in my illness, I discovered that I could crochet without draining my energy, so I spent my days crocheting, researching yarns and designing – this is how Homelea Lass was born.
My experience with chronic illness has guided me to combine my passion for exceptional design and crochet. I’ve developed a way of crocheting that’s enjoyable, easy to understand, and maximises it’s relaxing and wellbeing properties.
As my healing journey has progressed, Homelea Lass has grown, and I feel blessed that I can share my love of Australian merino wool, chunky crochet and creativity with you.
