The cold snap has definitely arrived, and now more than ever the need to rug up is apparent! I have been thoroughly enjoying wearing my Warm Heart Cowl this past week, and with wearing it so often I have noticed just how versatile it is.
If you’ve been following Homelea Lass on Instagram you may have seen me wear it in a few different ways, in fact many of my patterns and pre-made items are designed to give you variety, value for money and with my high quality yarn, you always get longevity and quality. This is where my yarn truly shines. It will stand the test of time, won’t fluff up or ball up, and you will be wearing it for many many years to come. It’s a staple item and sits well with my mantra of quality over quantity when it comes to my wardrobe.
On a chilly day, wearing my Warm Heart Cowl like a big warm necklace adds the perfect amount of warmth and cuddle. This style sits well under a jacket and adds a subtle texture to any outfit.
On a windy Melbourne day, I choose to wrap the Warm Heart Cowl around my neck twice. This feels oh-so-snug and warm and the texture of the yarn is so comforting and snuggly.
For those bitterly cold days in the middle of winter, I simply fold my cowl in half, wrap it around the back of my neck and tuck one side into the other. This sits well right in the collar of your jacket and does exactly what it promises – warms the heart.

Hi! I’m Lynda (she/her) and I’m the lady behind Homelea Lass.
I’m here to help you improve your crochet skills and to help you find peace and happiness in your creative time.
In 2012 I was knocked down by debilitating chronic fatigue that put an end to my blossoming career as a Civil Engineer and Project Manager.
Early on in my illness, I discovered that I could crochet without draining my energy, so I spent my days crocheting, researching yarns and designing – this is how Homelea Lass was born.
My experience with chronic illness has guided me to combine my passion for exceptional design and crochet. I’ve developed a way of crocheting that’s enjoyable, easy to understand, and maximises it’s relaxing and wellbeing properties.
As my healing journey has progressed, Homelea Lass has grown, and I feel blessed that I can share my love of Australian merino wool, chunky crochet and creativity with you.
