Bright Star Crochet Pattern & Online Course
FREE
Includes left and right handed video tutorials, plus a printable pattern.
Grab a cuppa and sparkle while crocheting stars with soft merino wool. It’s a lovely way to nourish your soul and make something beautiful for your home.
The Bright Star can be used for many things, at Christmas and throughout the year. Maybe you’ll use it to decorate your Christmas table, hang it on your front door, on the walls of your hallway or to decorate your child’s room?
About the design:
With some crochet patterns, the design comes to life in what feels like an instant and it must be released straight away. With others, it comes to life slowly and it needs time before being released.
The Bright Star crochet pattern is the second type. I came up with the design last year when I was putting together the Chunky Stars pattern. I made a prototype and some hasty scribbles on a piece of paper and that was it.
The prototype hung on the hallway of my Geelong apartment for most of the year. I absolutely loved it, but it didn’t feel like it was the right time to bring the pattern to life. Now that the new Daisy Yellow Homelea Bliss has arrived, Bright Star is ready to go out into the world!
Size:
The Bright Star is 35cm (14in) by 35cm (14in), and 1.5cm (0.6in) thick.
Intermediate skill level:
I recommend this pattern if you’ve done some crocheting before, and am comfortable following instructions where the stitches used are changing a lot.
Easy-to-follow video tutorials:
This kit includes a full crochet pattern, chart and online course (with right and left handed videos) that takes you step by step through what to do. It’s like I’m sitting beside you, showing you what to do.
You will need:
- 15.75mm (Q) crochet hook
- 300g skein of Homelea Bliss merino wool yarn or 60m of a yarn that is 1cm (0.4in) thick
- 1 stitch marker
- scissors
- tape measure or ruler
I know you’re going to love crocheting the Bright Star!
With love, Lynda.
