In addition to the premium merino wool yarn, your Yarn Advent-ure Blanket crochet kit comes with detailed video tutorials (left and right handed) where I show you how to make your blanket from start to finish.

This pattern uses simple stitch patterns and you’ll be able to make it if you’ve done some crocheting before. The video tutorials explain what to do, but it will help if you know how to:

• do a slip knot and chain stitches
• double crochet (UK terminology) / single crochet (US terminology)
• count your rows and stitches
• fasten off

how it works

Each month for 5 months you’ll get yarny parcel with 5 colours of Homelea Happy 10ply yarn, 2 x 50g balls of each colour.

The first box will be sent by the middle of August, and the following boxes by the middle of September, October, November and December. The first payment will happen when you order, and the renewals will happen on the 7th day of the month (September to December 2024)

it’s easy to manage your subscription

• pause or cancel any time and you’re not committed to completing the full 5 months
• renew manually or automatically, and you will receive a reminder email 2 days before renewal
• you’ve got complete control over your subscription via your Homelea Lass account (and I’m here to help you via the web chat at the bottom right corner of the Homelea Lass website)
• if the subscription can’t renew within 30 days there is a 20% fee to cover additional administration and storage

what you’ll need

• this crochet kit
• 4mm (G) crochet hook or a similar size
• scissors
• tape measure
• 2 stitch markers
• darning needle
• pins for blocking
• blocking mats (or ironing board or something similar to pin into)
• iron or steamer
• the desire to make a colourful blanket

about the yarn and colours

You’ll receive 2 x 50g balls of all 25 colours of the new Homelea Happy 10ply/worsted weight yarn – you’ll love this soft merino wool yarn that’s fully grown and processed in Australia. It’s a textural joy to crochet and knit with and feels woolly and slightly thick and thin. It’s gentle on the world we live in with no superwash and no nylon / acrylic / polyester.

Waste is reduced by sending the yarn with one tag per colour dye lot.

All of the merino wool yarn is 100% grown and made in Australia with no offshore processing.

I make each kit box in the Homelea Lass studio, located on a remote cattle property near Quilpie in south west Queensland, Australia. I use Australian made and sustainable components (packaging, bags, labels, etc)  whenever possible.
